Liberty Baptist Church

Ellenboro, NC

It's about taking the journey together and helping each other along the way. God never intended for us to take the journey of life alone; He wants us to do it with Him and with each other.

So we invite you to join us and give us the privilege of doing life with you!

When Are Your Services Held

There are two services every Sunday at Liberty.  Worship Services at 10:30 AM & 6:00 PM, held in the Sanctuary. Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM feature an adult Bible Study in the Sanctuary while school age children and youth participate in age-appropriate activities in the Family Life Center at 6:00 PM  such as AWANA  (children) and the Salt & Light Cafe (teenagers)

What is Sunday School

At Liberty Baptist Church we believe that the purpose for Sunday School is to edify and equip the saints through fellowship, teaching and service together. (9:30 to 10:15 AM every Sunday morning) Classes for children are age appropriate.

What Should I Wear?

There is no dress code for our members or our guests.  Pastor Mack Tester and many of our church families dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Liberty.

What Are Your Services Like?

Liberty has two Sunday worship services (10:30 AM & 6:00 PM) and a Sunday School hour at 9:30 AM.  Each worship service typically lasts between 60 and 75 minutes and includes a 30-40 minute exposition of Scripture. While we follow a traditional style, our services are not ultra-formal.  You will find a warm family atmosphere, spirited congregational singing, uplifting Praise Team specials, gifted choir with soloists and a practical biblical message from Pastor Mack Tester.

Will I Have to Stand Up In Front of People?

Though Pastor Tester does welcome our guests at every service, he will not single you out or make you feel uncomfortable.  However, you can expect to be noticed by our church family and warmly welcomed to our worship service.  We want you to feel loved and “at home”.
One of our greeters will be happy to give you a special “Liberty Welcome Gift Bag”  We would like a record of your visit and ask that you fill out the “Visitor’s Card”  found in the gift bag.
Not only do we hope you will come again but we also hope you are inspired to share the love of Christ where you live, work and play!

Do I Need to Give in the Offering?

No. We don’t ask you to put anything in the offering plates.  We want our service to be a gift to you.  We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, the truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.  As our guest, please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering.

Do You Provide Child Care During Services?

Yes. We offer safe, clean, and compassionate nursery care during every service for children ages 0-3 so that you, and others, can enjoy the service without distraction.

Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. Every volunteer and staff member completes a background check and training to ensure your child’s safety.
Upon arrival, someone at our Children’s Check-In Desk will walk you through the process of registering your child for one of our classrooms. You will then be shown to the classrooms so you can familiarize yourself with the area.
The volunteer at the check-in desk will print a name tag for the child and one will be printed for you, the parent or guardian. This tag will also include any medical notes, such as allergies, that your child may have so all volunteers will be aware. This tag must be presented in order to pick up your child.

Where Do My School-Age Cildren Go?

We offer age-specific classes during the Sunday School hour (9:30 to 10:15 AM) for children, teens, and adults. If you attend the Sunday School hour, we will be happy to take you and your family to the appropriate classes.

During the 10:30 AM Worship Service children are dismissed after the worship portion to attend "Children's Church" in the Family Life Center.

What About My Teenagers?

During the Sunday School hour, teenagers attend class in the “Salt & Light Café”, a fun and practical class led by Youth Pastor, Howie Lederfind.  Teens that attend the Worship Service at 10:30 AM are seated together in a designated section of the Sanctuary.

If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive.

Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit to Liberty will be refreshing and encouraging!

We are looking forward to meeting you personally.

Let us know how we can serve you better.

We hope to meet you this Sunday!
