Joshua Part 1 (1:1-5)

The Book of Joshua describes a God who faithfully fulfills His promises as He guides and directs the Israelites’ conquest of Canaan.  The book repeatedly emphasizes that their victories were due to God’s intervention. Chapter one opens with the call of God upon Joshua.  We see the peril in the call, the person of the call  along with God’s provision, His promises and His power in the call.

Joshua Part 2 (1:5-9)

This section explores the divine provision, protection, presence and power of God.  In the process we examine both the attitude of faith (persistent, prepared, peaceful & persuaded) and the appetite of faith (practice, possess & ponder the Word)
